Shuffle Up and Deal!

Welcome to AIT for Charity™ the revolutionary website that combines the pleasure of poker with the goodness of giving. Revolutionary because THIS IS NOT GAMBLING! It's playing for fun.. and to put the fun back into fundraising.

Whether you're a poker novice or have played before even though.. THIS IS PLAYING ONLY FOR FUN.. you have any questions on how to get to a tournament, or want a description of what's on your screen when you play, please visit our FAQ section.

Then let the fun and games begin! And while you're playing for entertainment and bragging rights, your tax-deductible donation will be on its way to a worthy charity where it'll be put to excellent use. And because of how AIT for Charity™ works, the old expression "It doesn't matter whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game" has been changed to:

"It doesn't matter how you play the game, you're already a winner and can only win bragging rights!"

How does the tournament work?

To learn how to play Texas Hold-em, look at the "How to Play Texas" page.

Once you're at the tournament, you'll see a table with icons around it. The icons will all be identified with the username of the player, and you can locate yours.

When the tournament starts, a single card will be dealt to each player, with the high card being designated the dealer for the first hand. That player will have the button (a small chip marked with 'D') placed in front of them. The button will rotate to the right with each hand.

When the hand starts, your options will appear at the bottom of the screen. You have approximately 15 seconds to act.

If it is your turn to act you will see a number of options: fold, check, call, raise a set amount (usually double the big blind), raise all in

You will also see a slider that allows you to bet anything between the minimum bet and going all in.

If it is not your turn to act, you will see options that you can "pre-set" as your next option. You can set it to fold (or check/fold if checking is an option), raise all in, or make one or two pre-set bets. If you choose an action from this screen, it will occur when it is your turn to bet.

The two buttons that are always at the very bottom are "Auto muck". If a hand is played out to the end, with two or more players involved, the winners cards are shown to the table. The other players who were in at the end will have the option to show their cards or muck them (not show them). If no choice is made the default is to muck them. The "show cards" button allows you to show your cards to the other players at the table. Most players choose the auto muck option.
